Every effort was made to replicate the appearance and style of a National Geographic publication including typography, information layout and photography, with particular consideration paid to the design for print to allow for the inclusion of fold-out pages
Personal photography was included where I felt it would add to the point being made in the article
Text based pages were broken up with vivid, full bleed images
Infographics were included where possible to quickly communicate information to the reader
Careful consideration was paid to how the publication would be printed. Foldout pages were included within the essay to encourage reader engagement and interaction
